Christopher has worked in education for over 25 years and has extensive experience across all key stages, from primary through to university. He is a qualified teacher and has served as a classroom teacher of Drama and English, as well as held roles as head of department and faculty leader for creative industries subjects. In 2017, Christopher became a qualified Lead Practitioner, supporting academies and coaching teachers to enhance the quality of their education. Additionally, he developed Early Career Teacher (ECT) programmes as a professional tutor and subject tutor for trainee teachers.
He has worked alongside The Cambridge Partnership on their teacher training programmes (ITT) as a speaker and subject tutor. As an assistant principal, he has led research-based curriculum, assessment, and pedagogical initiatives, continuous professional development programmes, and whole school literacy and reading strategies. Alongside the creative industry subjects, he has line-managed departments of English, Science, and Mathematics, overseeing their pedagogical and curriculum development.
Christopher has also developed and facilitated creative curriculums and PSHE enrichment programmes for primary schools, as well as academic workshops for secondary schools throughout the UK. In 2022, he successfully completed his National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH).
