LAMDA commissioned the Centre for Education and Youth (CfEY) to evaluate the impact of LAMDA Exams in schools. You can find their report here.
LAMDA exams not only instil a profound sense of achievement but also significantly bolster confidence and self-esteem, thereby contributing to overall well-being.
There are numerous other reasons why taking a LAMDA exam is beneficial, including:
Improved reading fluency and comprehension
Enhanced self-expression through an enriched vocabulary
Development of essential life skills
Enhancement of English language proficiency
Increased confidence in speaking
Improvement in listening and sorting information
Improved memory and recall abilities
Proficiency in delivering persuasive presentations
Ability to formulate and defend arguments
Who is LAMDA?
Examination bodies such as OCR, AQA, and Edexcel are renowned for providing GCSE and A-level assessments worldwide. Similarly, LAMDA Examinations offer robust assessments, serving as an excellent benchmark for monitoring a child's progress in speech and drama skills. Presently, LAMDA Examinations are available in over 40 countries across the globe.
From Grade 6 to 8, LAMDA Examinations also provide UCAS points, with a maximum of 30 points attainable for Grade 8 students. To provide context, achieving a C grade at A-level is worth 32 points. Children can undertake these examinations at any age based on their ability. At Creative Industries Academy, we have children starting the Entry Level examinations from the age of 6.
Why Creative Industries LAMDA Tuition?

What are the benefits:
Mindfulness offers a range of benefits for children, extending beyond simple quiet moments:
Enhanced sleep quality: By helping children unwind and clear their minds before bed, mindfulness promotes better sleep.
Sharpened focus and concentration: Mindfulness practices assist children in quieting their minds and paying attention to tasks, boosting their concentration abilities, crucial for school and social interactions.
Deepened self-awareness and empathy: As children become more attuned to their thoughts and emotions, they often develop a deeper understanding and empathy towards others, fostering healthier relationships.
Stress relief: Mindfulness, such as mindful breathing, can alleviate stress by inducing a relaxed state of mind, making daily experiences feel less overwhelming for children.
Improved emotional regulation: Mindfulness encourages children to observe their emotions without immediately reacting, creating a space between feeling an emotion and responding to it, which is particularly useful in managing anger or frustration.
Building resilience: Regular mindfulness practice helps children build resilience, enabling them to bounce back from challenges with a more positive outlook on life.
Overall wellbeing: By fostering calmness, sharpening focus, and improving emotional regulation, mindfulness lays the groundwork for a balanced and fulfilling life for children.
