Christopher's career has run parallel in both the education sector and entertainment industry for over 25 years.
In education, he has extensive experience across all key stages, from primary through to university. He is a qualified teacher and has served as a classroom teacher of Drama and English, as well as held roles as head of department and faculty leader for the creative industries subjects. In 2017, Christopher became a qualified Lead Practitioner, supporting academies and coaching teachers to enhance the quality of their education. Additionally, he developed Early Career Teacher (ECT) programmes as a professional tutor and subject tutor for trainee teachers. As an assistant principal, he has led research-based curriculum, assessment, and pedagogical initiatives, continuous professional development programmes, and whole school literacy and reading strategies. In 2022, Christopher successfully completed his National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH).
In tandem with his educational pursuits, Christopher has worked in the entertainment industry as an actor, singer, and director. He has worked in London and regional theatres, Fringe venues across the UK, and toured internationally. Christopher is passionate about the arts and their ability to support emotional and mental wellbeing. As an actor he has developed and facilitated creative curriculums and PSHE enrichment programmes for primary schools as well as academic workshops for secondary schools throughout the UK. He has been invited to work as a guest lecturer and director at universities, drama schools, and youth theatres in both the UK and USA. Christopher continues to offer his expertise to both professional and aspiring actors, alongside his consultancy work within the education sector.
